Calculation Steps:
  • Wife gets the prescribed share of 1/4 (Rule 2a).
  • Pateral Grandmother gets the prescribed share of 1/12 (Rule 8b).
  • Maternal Grandmother gets the prescribed share of 1/12 (Rule 9b).
  • Maternal Siblings gets the prescribed share of 1/3 (Rule 12b).
  • Maternal Brothers gets 1/6 & Maternal Sisters gets 1/6 - the ratio 1:1 (Rule 33).
  • Distribute the remaining shares according to relative priority (Rule 14)
  • Total shares are still remaining to be distributed. Shares should now be increased proportionally among all heirs except the spouse (Rule 19).
